It offered first-class service and lovely food too. The staff were pleasant and exceptional and the location was magnificent in town center.

It is a right place for a wedding celebration, has excellent views over the town. Exceptionally comfortable bed in the double room, plus an iron and ironing board, a work desk, and a TV set. Excellent staff and marvellous breakfast with incredible products. A very pleasant

The location was marvellous, quite close to St Nicholas Church. There were a good market and a market around the hotel.

Perfect hotel in a beautiful location to the arts centre which was almost next door, the services were friendly. Our double room was equipped with the sofa bed, a good efficient shower plus own space. Thoroughly enjoyed their

The employees are courteous and welcoming. En suite, compact room complete with own space, a lovely bathroom, for instance.

It was newly remodelled, neat and with a great view. The service was great during all my nice stay.

It is fairly priced. The property is hospitable and fairly clean, offers amazing breakfasts. The location is unbeatable and amazing, in fact everything was great. Offers superb service and outstanding food.  

I was there for 1 night and would definitely come back. I greatly enjoyed staying in this lovely hotel based in a traditional building.

Fabulous accommodation with amazing setting so close to an external restaurant, the garden area and the centre of the village with shops.

We got a quiet room and well-organised service. Besides, the parking was onsite. The location was fantastic - just next door to beautiful Barnard Castle and town centre. There was Mad Hatter's Tea Room nearby,
